Hi, I'm Mike and welcome to Wordarrows !

The purpose of this page is to share a little bit of my background to tell you that I absolutely know what it is like to feel discouraged, frustrated, and even quite angry about poor and terrible sales results.


When I was promoted into sales management, the only thing I wanted to do with my team was to help them sell more. Since having my first team, I've learned a lot in how to teach selling skills that get results. In fact, I really owe some of my learning to the teams that I had the privilege work with and train. I've taken that knowledge and turned it into a system. As I look back over the years, hundreds of people have told me they have been helped by the system.   I'm now calling this system Wordarrows.

I help salespeople and entrepreneurs get genuinely excited about their next sales conversation and teach them how to get the results they desire

Going from success to crisis and back to success


Success Was Going Well

  • Had a great career in a service industry
  • I was married and our children were 1 and 3 years old
  • Read a book on sales
  • Realized the great opportunity in sales
  • Decided to change careers
  • Discussed with my wife
  • Got cautious agreement 😁
  • Gave 9 months notice to my boss
  • Finished a Train the Trainer manual
  • Started my new career in sales (so excited)


CRISIS

  • First year total earnings $1,970 (UGH!)
  • I sold a lot – sold my house and car (so sad)
  • Created $170,000 of debt (more sad)
  • Created family crisis (very sad)
  • Caused great marriage tenson (also sad)
  • Tried over 10 sales jobs over 3 year period
  • Failed at all of them – went back into service industry
  • Was frustrated, depressed, discouraged, confused
  • Called creditors every week to say I will pay you eventually
  • Drove a limo for some income
  • Looked like no way to get out of debt
  • Re-looked at sales as a career (persistence)

Success Begins Again

  • Started sales career again - they gave me a Quota
  • Income 1st yr. in sales salary plus commission $45,000
  • Second year – $65,000
  • Third year – six figures
  • Fourth year as a rep, was promoted to manager
  • First year in management, 6 of 8 reps Presidents Club Trip
  • Sales Team was in top 10 of the country.
  • Seventh year promoted to Branch Sales Director
  • Branch team achieved many awards and trips
  • Became Sr. Sales Director over nine states
  • Helped many earn president club trips
  • Trained reps who would earn six figures
  • Helped managers become top in the country 
  • Promoted sales reps to sales Managers
  • Helped managers be promoted to Directors
  • We are still married and love our family.  :-)
