Success Was Going Well
- Had a great career in a service industry
- I was married and our children were 1 and 3 years old
- Read a book on sales
- Realized the great opportunity in sales
- Decided to change careers
- Discussed with my wife
- Got cautious agreement 😁
- Gave 9 months notice to my boss
- Finished a Train the Trainer manual
- Started my new career in sales (so excited)
CRISIS
- First year total earnings $1,970 (UGH!)
- I sold a lot – sold my house and car (so sad)
- Created $170,000 of debt (more sad)
- Created family crisis (very sad)
- Caused great marriage tenson (also sad)
- Tried over 10 sales jobs over 3 year period
- Failed at all of them – went back into service industry

- Income 1st yr. in sales salary plus commission $45,000
- Second year – $65,000
- Third year – six figures
- Fourth year as a rep, was promoted to manager
- First year in management, 6 of 8 reps Presidents Club Trip
- Sales Team was in top 10 of the country.
- Seventh year promoted to Branch Sales Director
- Branch team achieved many awards and trips
- Became Sr. Sales Director over nine states
- Helped many earn president club trips
- Trained reps who would earn six figures
- Helped managers become top in the country
- Promoted sales reps to sales Managers
- Helped managers be promoted to Directors
- We are still married and love our family. :-)
