The daughter cried.
The dad never raised his voice. He just spoke with an edge — the kind of tone that comes out without thinking. His 14-year-old daughter walked away in tears. He stood there and realized something. She is not a coworker. She is not a customer. He went to her room and said: I should not have spoken to you that way. I would never speak to your mom that way. And if I ever do it again, you can call me on it.
The cause of the tears? Words.
The neighbor yelled.
The boy went to visit the new neighbor. They invited him in. Then their son did something wrong and they yelled at him — and then turned to the boy and said harshly: you need to go home. You don't need to be here. The boy walked home confused and asked his mom: why did they talk like that? Why did they use those words? She looked at him and said quietly: they just don't understand how words work. They don't know the power they have.
The cause of this misunderstanding? All from words neither one understood.
The manager lost the deal.
They had worked this prospect for weeks. It was a Friday afternoon. The paperwork was on the counter. Two options. The question had been asked. Then silence — two full minutes that felt like twenty. The manager could not take it. He repeated the question. The prospect looked up and said: I am going to take the weekend to think about it. The deal never came back.
The cause of the deal being lost? The manager spoke words out of place.
We all live on a word planet. And what does that mean?
If you got a job, you got it by words. If you keep your job, you keep it by words. Even if you are not a salesperson, you are keeping your job by your words. You can say something to your supervisor tomorrow and get fired. You can go interview somewhere else and with your words get hired.
Everything in your house came from you thinking about what you wanted anda going to get it. And what you thought about was words. Everything you have, you have because of words.
How does the gas station on the corner get built? It did not just grow out of the ground. First someone drove by an empty lot. Then somebody had an idea: I think a gas station would be profitable here. They did some research. They got a loan. They got a contractor. They got a construction team. They built the gas station. And now you stop there for gas. All of that was created by words.
If you get nothing else from this website, realize this: because we live on a word planet, words are running your life. The words you speak to yourself about yourself. The words you speak to your friends about your friends. It is all based on words.
So I will ask the question: what if we could see words differently, so that we could use words differently?
By now you may be thinking about a conversation that did not go the way you wanted. A relationship that took a hit. A sale that slipped away. A moment you wish you could do over. Most of those moments had one thing in common.
I help people see words differently — so they can use words differently — and start getting the outcomes they actually want.
I do that through books, short video lessons, and one-on-one coaching. The best first step is a free 15-minute call. No pitch. Just a conversation about where your words are working and where they are not.
Who This Is For
WordArrows® was built for people who use words for a living — which is everyone.
Salespeople
The right words close deals. The wrong ones lose them before they start.
After 29 years in B2B sales, I learned that what separates good salespeople from great ones is not product knowledge. It is the words they use when the moment matters most.
LEADERS
People follow vision. Vision lives in words.
Every leader who has ever moved a team did it with words. The clarity, the authority, the direction — all of it travels through language. WordArrows® sharpens that.
PARENTS
The words that shape a child stay with them for a lifetime.
I know this as a father. The words I said to my kids — and the ones I should have said differently — did not just pass through the air. They landed. They stuck. Words matter most where love is.

Why Am I Qualified?
I spent 29 years in B2B sales at Canon, starting at $2,000 my first year and finishing as Senior Director over nine states. I trained hundreds of salespeople. I won deals I had no business winning and lost a few I should not have.
In 2024 I left corporate life to build WordArrows® full time — because I believe the world changes when people understand what their words are actually doing. I have published two books on Amazon and hold registered trademarks on the WordArrows® system.
This is not theory. Every word in this system came from a real sales call, a real conversation, a real moment where the right word made all the difference.
